Your Christmas Wreath Workshop
Our 2 December Mum & Baby workshop has sold out, so we’ve added another date at Vino Tap in Highams Park.
Join Alex from Fashioned Flowers for a relaxed afternoon of Christmas wreath making designed especially for parents with babies. Create your own fresh festive wreath to take home, with plenty of time to pause, feed, settle or play with your baby as you go.
This workshop is designed to make wreath making enjoyable and manageable with a baby in tow.
Alex will guide you through creating a traditional moss-based Christmas wreath using fresh seasonal foliage and a selection of festive decorations. No floristry experience is needed, and you can work at your own pace throughout the session.
There’s no pressure to keep up with the group. If your baby needs feeding, changing, settling or simply some attention, pause when you need to and pick things up again when you’re ready.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have your own handmade Christmas wreath ready to take home.
Babies are very welcome — this workshop has been planned specifically with parents in mind.
Slings and baby carriers are particularly useful while you’re working, although there is also a secure covered area outside Vino Tap where buggies and prams can be left.
There is space for changing, and a play mat will be available during the session.
Most importantly, the workshop is flexible. Feed when you need to, take a break, settle your baby or step away for a few minutes. There is no expectation that everyone works through the wreath at exactly the same pace.

What You’ll Make
You will make a full natural Christmas wreath using seasonal evergreen foliage, texture and decorative details.
Alex will demonstrate each stage and help you with the mechanics, shape and finishing touches, while leaving you free to make the design your own.

AT THE VENUE
Food & Drink
Vino Tap offers a broad selection of wines by the glass and bottle, craft beer, low-and-no choices and wine-based cocktails, with simple snacks, artisan cheese and charcuterie also available to buy.
Your ticket includes one drink from the workshop selection at Vino Tap.
Options include a 125ml glass of fizz, a small glass of house red or white wine, a soft drink, a non-alcoholic beer or a Botivo mocktail.

Getting There
Vino Tap, 2A Winchester Road, Highams Park, London E4 9LN.
The venue is a few minutes’ walk from Highams Park station on the Weaver line.
The 212, W16 and 275 serve the station area.
If you are driving, the paid Highams Park Station Car Park at E4 9LA is also a short walk away.

Can I bring my baby to the workshop?
Yes — that is exactly what this session is designed for. The format is deliberately relaxed so you can make your wreath with your baby alongside you.
What if I need to feed, change or settle my baby?
Please do whatever you and your baby need. You can pause at any point and rejoin when you are ready; Alex will help you pick up from where you left off.
Is there baby changing?
Yes. Baby-changing facilities will be available for the workshop.
Is there somewhere for my buggy or pram?
Yes. A secure, covered buggy/pram park will be available outside the venue so the workshop space can remain comfortable to move around.
Will there be anywhere for babies or toddlers to sit and play?
Playmats will be available for little ones who want some floor time during the session.
Can I come on my own with my baby?
Absolutely. You do not need to come as part of a group — the session is intended to feel friendly and sociable for parents attending on their own as well as with friends.
Do I need any floristry experience?
No. Alex will demonstrate the process step by step and help throughout.
What if I don’t want an alcoholic drink?
Non-alcoholic options are included; see the Food & Drink section for the selection.

If you are part of an NCT group or another group of parents who would like to attend together, please get in touch before booking a large number of places on the public session.
We would much rather work with you and Vino Tap to explore an additional private Mum & Baby date for your group, with its own dedicated booking page where appropriate.
